This week I am meditating on El Roi: the God who sees Genesis 16:13

‘Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You are the God who sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”’ – NKJV

Questions to ponder:

Q1: How do I understand “being seen”? What does it mean to be seen?

Q2: What does it mean for the Lord to see me?

Q3: What does the Lord see when He looks at me?

Q4: Is there anything the Lord wants to reveal to me?

A prayer:

El Roi thank you for seeing me. Thank you for sitting high and looking low to where I am. I ask that you would open my eyes to see how you see me. I ask that you would help me to take comfort and delight in knowing I am seen by you. Thank you for your Spirit I ask that you would open my heart to receive the truth of what it means to be seen by you, would you help me to accept it? In your son’s name, amen.
