This week I am meditating on Immanuel: God with us; as written in Isaiah 7:14. A prophecy about the coming of Christ and who he will be. Who God is.
“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” — Isaiah 7:14 KJV
Questions to ponder:
Q1: What does it mean to “be with” someone?
Q2: How do I see God with his people in scripture?
Q3: Do I believe God is with me? How have I seen God with me in my life?
Q4: Do I want Christ to be with me? If so, why? If not, why?
A prayer:
Lord I thank you that you promised to never leave me nor forsake me. I thank you the you are the one who keeps every promise ever made. I ask Lord that you would help me to see how you are with me. I ask that you would help me to shift my perspective that I may see you with me now, that I would see how you were with me in the past and have hope that you will continue to be with me always. In your son’s name, amen.
