This week I will be meditating on Matthew 7:7-11
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” NKJV
Questions to ponder:
Q1: How can you seek God this week?
Q2: Is there anything you have not asked of God? If so, why have you not asked? Will you ask?
Q3: How can you knock on the door to God’s heart? What doors are you afraid to knock on, thinking God won’t answer? Are you willing to confess and lay it down?
Q4: Do you believe God, is a good Father who desires to hear from you and give you what you need? Give you what you want?
As we move into this new week let’s remember that in our weaknesses the Lord‘s strength is made perfect. That we can go to Him in prayer asking, seeking and knocking with assurance He will answer.
A prayer:
Father I thank you for another day. I am trusting that each day you wake me, you will be found. Would you help me to seek, ask and knock with trust and faith that you will answer. Would you open my heart and hands to receive what you have for me. Would you open my eyes to see and my ears to hear. In your name, amen.
